Curbside meal pick up begins on Tuesday, August 4 at every school from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Please see our meal pack curbside pick-up flyer, and see our food service meal delivery form for more information.
At our governing board meeting on July 28, the Tolleson Union High School District Governing Board voted to delay in-person student learning through the first quarter of the school year, which is October 9 on our school calendar. This means that online learning will begin on the first day of school for all TUHSD students, August 4, and continue until October 9. Dear TUHSD Parents / Guardians,
I would like to confirm that the first day of school at TUHSD for the 2020–2021 school year will remain on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, as posted on our district calendar. All students will begin the school year online, until at least August 17.
Governor Ducey announced on Monday, June 29, 2020, that Arizona schools will delay reopening on in-person classes this year until at least August 17 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our plans to reopen schools included three learning model options that were tentative and subject to change due to federal, state, and local guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our students, staff, and their families.

We have been diligently working on plans to reopen schools this fall. Our first priority remains the health and safety of our students, staff, and their families. As a district, we are making decisions to ensure consistency and equity districtwide for our students. We continue to look at COVID-19 data and follow guidelines from the CDC and Maricopa County Health Department. Due to the ever-changing COVID-19 situation, the learning model options are tentative and subject to change due to federal and state guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our students, staff, and their families.
